Disavowal
Inspired by the writings of Guy Debord, Gilles Deleuze, and Michel Foucault Disavowal explores themes of voyeurism, lies, illusions, security, and alienation. George starts a relationship with Renee. He soon finds out that Renee hasn’t been telling him the truth about herself and her relationships. Instead of confronting the situation he begins observing her. While watching her, he starts on an alienated journey that forces him to question her motives and his own self and security.
Montage of film is edited to music by Wolfgang Voigt. This music is used throughout the film.
